Tenetro Networking Software

Tenetro software requires the use of ports 7071 and 7072 on your institution's network.

Before installing Tenetro software please set up your firewall to allow incoming and outgoing packets on ports 7071 and 7072.

This can usually be achieved by adding a new rule to your firewall.

The rule you add should accept incoming packets from tenetro.com. Our IP address is (currently): 64.40.111.1

If you have a router, this can often be done by accessing page the following URL, and adding the appropriate firewall rules.

http://192.168.0.1

Click here to see what that rule might look like on your router.

If you use the common Linux-based firewall ipchains, you may want to add a line like this to your ipchains file:

-A Tenetro_Input -p tcp -m tcp --dport 7071 -m state --state NEW -j ACCEPT
-A Tenetro_Input -p tcp -m tcp --dport 7072 -m state --state NEW -j ACCEPT

If you are using Windows XP, service pack 1 or later, Windows' firewall may ask if you want to allow Tenetro's software to communicate the first time you run it. When this window pops up, click unblock.
